Vidya was helped to form the plan to avenge the death of her husband and her unborn child by retired IB officer Pratap Bajpayee (Darshan Jariwala), who suspected the involvement of a top Intelligence Bureau official. He was also killed in the poison gas attack and when Vidya saw her husband’s corpse she immediately fainted, which caused a miscarriage. Later they reveal that Vidya, was the widow of Arup Basu (Abir Chatterjee), a former Intelligence Bureau Officer and Damji’s colleague. Rana finds out that Vidya Baghci and Arnab Bagchi never existed and she had been using the police and the Intelligence Bureau to achieve her personal needs. By the time the police arrive on the site, Vidya disappears into the crowd leaving a thank you note for Rana and a pen drive with all the sensitive data which she was being chased for. And immediately after that, she stabs him with a hair stick, before shooting him with his own gun.
